WHAT IS CONTENT GROUPING?

Content grouping allows you to organise data into logical structures that represent how users approach your website or app, and then examine and evaluate statistics by new label, as well as drill down to the exact address, title tag, or screen name.

DATA IMPORTS AND FILTERED VIEWS

Filtered views and data imports are two constraints on content grouping that content dimensions have. You may use custom dimensions to apply filters to your views and see them as filter fields.

GA4 CONTENT GROUPING

VIEWING YOUR CONTENT GROUPS’ DATA

There are two ways to apply content groupings to your data in Google Analytics. Go to the Behavior > Site Content report and choose All Pages. However, this doesn’t tell you much more than how much time someone spent on those pages and isn’t much different from the Content Drilldown report in that regard.

Content Groupings can also be viewed using the Content Groupings report (shown above).This allows you to view incoming traffic and target conversions, which is far more important information for your organisation.
